We hope you have all managed to enjoy the summer and have coped with the recent heatwave! As we move into September and the early signs of autumn will begin to appear, we are pleased to bring you the latest news and developments from PFM.
An Update on the Purposeful Platform
This month, we wanted to provide an update on the Purposeful Platform, an important development in the ongoing evolution of PFM and the services we can offer our clients. For those who may not be familiar with the background, Purposeful is the wider group that PFM has become part of. The Purposeful Group brings together businesses and technology focused on improving the way financial planning is delivered, with an emphasis on creating better experiences for clients and more efficient ways of working for financial planners. The Purposeful Platform is an important part of this proposition. It provides a modern investment and platform solution that has been developed within the Purposeful Group, giving PFM access to a platform designed around the needs of financial planners and, most importantly, our clients. We see having our own platform as a very positive step for PFM. It gives us greater access to technology and services within the Purposeful Group and is another important step in our ambition to build a stronger, more sustainable and valued business for the long term, with our clients at the heart of everything we do.
What does this mean for you?
During September, some PFM clients will receive a letter from their Financial Planner explaining the Purposeful Platform. Where their Planner believes it is beneficial and appropriate to their individual circumstances, the letter may also recommend that they consider moving from their existing platform to Purposeful. It is important to emphasise that any recommendation to move platform will come from your Financial Planner following consideration of your individual circumstances. The newsletter is intended simply to provide some background and explain why you may hear more about the Purposeful Platform over the coming months.
Not every client will be suited to, or benefit from, moving to the Purposeful Platform, and there is no expectation that all clients will make the change. If your Financial Planner believes a move would be appropriate, they will explain the reasons clearly in your personalised report. We are excited about the opportunities that the Purposeful Platform creates for PFM and our clients. It represents another significant step in the development of our business and, importantly, supports our long-term aim of continuing to improve the service, technology and experience we provide to our clients.
Celebrating Our Clients
Looking ahead, our October and November newsletters will also feature some amazing achievements from PFM clients. We’ll be sharing the story of another fantastic charity event, as well as highlighting a new skill that one of our clients discovered and developed after retirement. We really enjoy hearing about the things our clients are doing beyond their financial planning , whether that is supporting a charity, taking on a personal challenge, travelling, learning something new or simply making the most of the opportunities that retirement and financial freedom can provide.
